This piece was based off an artefact I saw at the Hunterian Museum - Royal College of Surgeons in London. The artefact was a fractured skull cap belonging to a man with lots of brain tumours. My zine focused on telling the story of the pain the man must've experienced - I decided to use textures and imagery to communicate this narrative as pain is emotional and I want to engage with the viewer. Empathy is the best way of doing that.
